WotL OOC Thread II

This 2E Dragonlance game is set in the city of Haven, during the War of the Lance. Haven is a city undergoing great upheaval. First massive numbers of refugees pour in, then the city is conquered by a draconic army. Can our heroes survive under this dark occupation?

Does Shima hear anything significant in the conversations around him (that are in a language he can understand)? - [Detect Noise is 45%]

Oh, oops.

The dais itself is about six feet high. However, there is a railing of three feet on top of that. So 9 feet total, I suppose.

Like so:

He can try, but he'll have to concentrate on one conversation at a time. So let me know which one he is listening in to first.

You mean assuming that there aren't more traps up there?

You could climb up half-way and try to jump it. That would require a DEX check. Failure means you slip and fall. I consider 9 feet close enough to 10 feet for a simple 1d6 fall damage. :P

The party went into the next room, a very big dining room area, where there were 8 histachii and a man with a snake tail instead of legs and snakes for hands. There was a big battle and although the party ultimately won, they took heavy damage (Felran, for instance, is down to 8 HP).

The snake man was paralyzed by Gobax and must be killed before the spell wears off, but there's an invisible trap in the way, so the party is trying to bypass it.

There are three options.

1. You can try and disarm it while it is invisible, but take a heavy penalty to your attempt.
2. You can try and roll to disbelieve the illusion, and then attempt to disarm it normally.
3. You can try and set it off on purpose. But that could be risky, since you don't know what it will do.

Oh believe me I've considered setting it off, best case scenario is glitter dust again and it does nothing. Worst case is an alarm spell that brings the entire cultist hideout down on us right away.

Sure, I have a rope, but assuming the table is at least 3 feet high, I'm not sure if a rope would be any help for people to get up 6 feet... except for maybe Haahqae, Ismene and Pen.

Ok, maybe I'll throw you the rope.

(Note: edited post to toss rope to Gobax)
