I'm redesigning the website to appease the masses and make the site 100% conform to modern devices. I'd just like to know what everyone uses to view PADnD atm.
It's PC compatible obviously, but does anyone surf this site on their phone, Tablet, iPad etc? Let me know...so as I code I can keep that in mind. Thanks
OK, that's the barrier I'm trying to conquer CK ... the forums work great on a phone, but nothing else does really, exception being the new game room. Th rest of the site is horrible on small devices. I've got 60% of the site already converted to the new code style I used for YouYatter. It's sweet looking!
Some areas on the site are just so old though that it's not possible to convert... but I'll do my best. However, while doing this, I managed to fix a bunch of broken utilities on the fly. I'm a bit shocked that nobody told me that some of them didn't work. Added some fun new features to everyone will like.
So I'm going to go out on a limb here and say we don't get new users often because of the sites inability to scale down. That problem has now been resolved for good.
There is a clear trend here of people using PC's and laptops and not one of us uses a ipad etc ... perhaps we can drum up some new users now
If you have buddies that would love to come on now and discuss / use the site, let them know we are device friendly
90% smartphone. If I have any trouble at all I just use the "request desktop site option" and that usually clears up my issue. One thing I do recall is that it was virtually impossible for me to join the site all together from a smartphone because of the Drag-and drop requirement for confirmation.
Members that joined after I did have mention this to me as well
What doesn't kill you just means you made your save... this time...
OK. I'll look into that Tristen, however that feature alone protects us from spam users...but I can probably come up with an alternative now. Thanks for the input, that's very valuable to the site's prosperity.
