Your First Character

Post by Shao Khan »

I remember my first Char.
Method1 character generation. No one could play what they wanted. Dm nudged things enough to meet the minimums. He was as new as us.

I spent a lot of time and energy with alllll the details. Paladin. He even let me have some kind of white armor. There was a rose symbol involved. I remember being really excited while I listed all the cool weapons and things I would need to kick ass wherever I went.

5hrs Later a troll removed my face. Manually. Good thing my GIRLFRIEND (that's rite nerds) killed both of them with one shot.

I'm sure it nothing to do with the Dm being her ex-bo.

Was I the only one who watched the DnD cartoon? Image

You remember your first?

The d.m. was her ex boyfriend? What a prick!
Ya, I clearly remember my first d&d character. He was a human fighter who loved the battle axe. One of two brothers who went out to seek fame and glory rather than spend their lives hewing down trees (foresters). I'll also spare you the juicy details but he died at level 14 from an intra party brawl. That sucked. His brother got even for him and is retired today at level17. Awe playing with douche bags. I don't put up with that crap nowadays.

The first character I started with was a half elf/half human Druid; wow, began with her in 2001 and kept playing her in tabletop games until 2009. No, she didn't finally die, we moved and had to say goodbye to PAHWG. Unfortunately, DnD gamers in my area are slim to none in existence; either no one really plays, or they're hiding from the Mormons.

Kaber and I tried to start up a group at the local gaming/comic book store in Moab; folks only wanted to play Magic the Gathering...the store has since closed down.

The old Basic D&D red box. Made a fighter named Darius. I was also DM, with my friend and his little sister. Good times. We all joined the Brotherhood of Gorm in module B4 The Lost City. We played the long version and killed Zargon. Played him through Expert box, into Companion. Then we switched to 1e.

it was a aDND 2ed Ranger 1st level and my DM thought I should have my favored enemy be the rat race from warhammer (or warhammer 400k). Needless to say since we were running a pre-made we did not encounter any of them SMH

I don't remember exactly what my first character was, but I specifically remember two of the first that actually lived for awhile. :) One was an old school magic user and, like Shao Khan, one was a paladin. Can't remember the Paladin's name, but the M-U's name was Clint (yeah, not too original, but I was young ).
Did I watch the D&D cartoon? Hell yeah, I LOVED it. For some reason the series was shown again where I lived around 1999. I couldn't believe my luck and would get up like I was a kid again on Saturday mornings to relive it and tape the episodes!
