This is a song, kind of a Jig - Writen By: Marc Zukerman
I walked into a bar and saw a man in front of me.
He asked me if I knew a song called "Goblin Jamboree"
I said to him "My friend of course! I'll sing it just for you -
But if I stumble o'er the words just help me get right through.
Hammers thrown, daggers jabbed, this is the goblin way,
For stepping on the misfortunate, they try it every day.
It's when they're faced with a group of men with weapons twice their size
They dance about and scream and shout much to the men's surprise!
Goblins here and goblins there, they're dancing all with glee
But facing death, they dance with jest: A Goblin Jamboree!
The men look on with queer looks on and seek to rid this nest
Of foulest creatures underground they'll all eternally rest.
But in their midst, there is the sound of madcap revelry,
Of hoots and howls and laughs and growls - They're mad as all can see!
Goblins here and goblins there, they're dancing all with glee
But facing death, they dance with jest: A Goblin Jamboree!
The men perplexed drew all their swords and shouted to their foes:
"Stop all this fuss or else we swear we'll cleave you to your toes!"
The goblins stopped and looked about, yes sir they might be lanced,
So with a snort, they hopped right on and in grave danger they danced!
Goblins here and goblins there, they're dancing all with glee
But facing death, they dance with jest: A Goblin Jamboree!
The men were fuming; they started looming over diminutive creatures
But was it worth the trouble here to beat their facial features?
The men turned away, there was no fray among the goblins prancing.
Just goes to show, if you're about to die, start running about and dancing!
Goblins here and goblins there, they're dancing all with glee
But facing death, they dance with jest: A Goblin Jamboree!
